Four Office Workers Win the Name the Newsletter Contest!

Have you checked out the NEW and improved Tower Square newsletter? If so...what do you think of the new name and the new look? Like it? Well we do! And we have not one, not two, but four Tower Square office workers to thank for coming up with the new name "Tower Talk", which inspired the new look, designed by Letendre Advertising.

Out of 76 suggested new newsletter titles, including some near misses, like Tower Times, Around the Square, Tower Happenings...and some not so near misses, which we won't name here... we chose Tower Talk, which was actually suggested by four people. Those four creative contest winners are Darla Iavicoli from Wolf & Company, Marie Sidelinker of Catholic Health East, Inc., Lori Mission and Cyndi Gorman, both of Babson Capital Management, LLC.

Congratulations and thank you to Darla, Marie, Lori and Cyndi! We hope you enjoy your $25 Tower Square gift certificates as much as we enjoy the new name and new look of our newsletter.

By the way, in case you didn't know, the Tower Square newsletter is produced by the Tower Square marketing department monthly. It's usually out by the first of each month, and is distributed to the office tower, and is available at various locations throughout the retail area. It is also mailed out to about 150 local businesses, organizations and community leaders.

Downtown Restaurants to Attend Farmers Market on Fridays
Villa Pizza: Tower Square's own Villa Pizza served several different types of pizza at the mini Taste of Downtown last month. Business was so good, that Villa Pizza plans on having a regular presence at the Farmers Market during lunchtime every Friday.
The smell of chicken curry, pizza and grilled kabobs added another level of allure to the Farmers Market at Tower Square Park during last month's mini-Taste of Downtown.

The event was such a hit that participating food vendors have asked to make it a regular thing! Tower Square's Villa Pizza, Caf Lebanon and Sitar are all planning on being at the Farmers Market every Friday during lunchtime to sell select items from their menus.

While the Farmers Market has something for everyone by way of locally grown produce, baked goods, home canned products, plants, herbs, flowers, locally produced cheese products, crafts and more, the availability of food and beverages was missing.until now!

Couple the addition of food vendors with the popular FREE CityBlock Lunchtime Concerts, and you have a winning combination. The Farmers Market at Tower Square Park, which runs every Friday through September from 10am 3pm, is indeed the place to be on Fridays!

The Farmers Market is located at the corner of Main and Bridge streets, and is sponsored by Tower Square and the Springfield Business Improvement District.
Cafe Lebanon:
Cafe Lebanon's grilled chicken kabobs could be smelled across the street at last months Taste, helping to draw people over to the Farmers Market, where the downtown restaurant plans on being every Friday through the month of September.
